Things to Do

The Shallotte River and Lockwood Folly River feed into the ICW providing excellent sightseeing and fishing opportunities. The ICW area wetlands and tributaries are habitats for wildlife and fish. Amazing sunrises and sunsets can be viewed on the water.

Fishing

Fishing the ICW and the area creeks around Holden Beach for trout, redfish, black drum, sheepshead and flounder. Best close to the water angling experience.

Sightseeing

Sightseeing opportunity to observe dolphins, waterfowl, eagles, hawks, otters, deer, fox and even alligators in the creeks. Explore the tributaries and shorelines. Amazing sunrise and sunset views.

Pleasure

Pleasure time pedaling down the ICW around Holden Beach and pull up on many of the sandy banks / beach areas to swim and relax. Good cardio workout pedaling around the waterway as you burn 300+ calories per hour.
